I also totally understand, it is so difficult but 'in love' is right. You will know in time if it is true. That is the main point of my trip, to see how he really lives his life and to find truly if we think we can have a life together. There is a lot of gossip and rumours, but you have to remember all these are exaggerated because of the distance, your mind will start to make you wonder. Stick with it, I have, I was in a similar situation to you, and so far things are good.

I wish you luck. And I hope thigs work out for you.

In Love, when do you arrive in Gumbet?? x

I have been through the lot, moving to Turkey, marriage, visas, moving back to the UK etc. so anything you want to know just ask!

Are you planning on living in Turkey or England?

I got married in Turkey. All I needed before I went out was my Certificate of Non-Impediment, which you get from your local registry office. It costs about £30 and takes 3 weeks. You also need your full birth certificate.

Once you get there you need to go to the registry office wherever yuo are planning to get married and they will give you a list of everything you need to do (it is in Turkish so if you don't speak Turksih you will need your man to read it). You have to take all your paperwork to the British Consulate (we went to Izmir) and then they will give you some more paperwork to take to the governor's office for a stamp.

After that you need to get blood tests done at the local hospital then get a medical report.

Once you have got everything done and all the paperwork you can go back to the registry office and book a date for the marriage. Of course you can also have a big celebration wherever you want after.

Turkish passorts are very expensive but he can get one in Bodrum, I'm not sure where but I know my husband got his there.

If there is anything else I can help you with just ask x

Just listen to your instincts Shamsa, if he is good he wont ask you for anything. If he starts asking for presents - mobile phones, trainers, money etc then run a mile!

God, I miss Camel Beach so much!! When were you there? I was there on and off during the summer but maybe you were there one week when I wasn't.
