I am visiting Bodrum/Gumbet with my partner and 13 year old daughter in September, normally go to Marmaris?Icmeler, so looking forward to staying somewhere new, we are staying at the Salamakis resort, has anyone stayed there ? Whats it like ? How far is it from the airport and how much would it cost in a Taxi. Any help please x

Salmakis is in Bardakci Bay which is just in between Bodrum and Gumbet, closer to Gumbet. You'll have to walk up and down a hill to get to either of the places. If you want a taxi transfer look at www.propercar.com - they're pretty reasonable and we've always found them reliable.

I was up on the hill where the windmills are in Gumbet last Sunday looking down on Salmakis - it's looking good.
