Hello People,

We are 4 lads going to Gumbet for a week on 20/7/09 does anyone know of any events / djs that are taking place in Gumbet/Bodrum? Any tips on the best bars and clubs. I've heard and seen a lot about Halinaras and Club Catamaran, are these really as good as they are made out? and what are the best places to eat? Are there any place that are cheaper to drink away from the main crowds.

Thanks.

Matt

Hi Matt! You're going to have a great time! Wish we could go back so soon!! Halikarnas has guest DJ's now and again, but to be honest, the music's brilliant on Bar Street anyway! We went to Halikarnas for the first time in May, luckily we got in for free as we were with our DJ mate (It costs about 60 lira??) and you get a free local drink. But when we paid for 3 Vodka Cokes (Not even Smirnoff/Absolut, but local vodka) They wanted 180 lira?? lol! We did get let off the entrance fee, but thats not the point! We got them down to 70 lira (Which is like £30 quid?) which is still shocking! We wouldnt go back again, and its not all its cracked up to be. Hope the information helps!! There are plenty of good bars in Bar Street anyway! biggrin.gif

Hi Matt

As lisastars said there are plenty of good places to eat I would recomend TEMPO restaraunt though the food is good value and top notch, the staff are really friendly too, it situated directly opposite the SAMI PLAZA hotel.

Bar street itself has plenty of good clubs/bars that play good music X bar is good to end the night off it one of the bigger places in bar street and the music is generally Dance/R&B X
