A couple of the younger lads in there appear to be ok but its the older guys you really should be careful of. They are as thick as thieves and will do anything to get you to spend your hard earned cash! Most established people around Gumbet will tell you the same thing - they are well known. If you want to know anything about anyone in particular let me know and i'll tell you what i can. Either way, I would advise that you don't trust them. I haven't had any dealings as such with any of them but I know them and have spoken to them over the years as and when necessary. They are ok on the surface but scratch that surface and... well... anything is possible really!

Marco... i'm not sure, i think i've only ever spoken about 4 words to him. I find that Alex is a really nice young guy, however, he does like the ladies! He has been chasing a girl that I know for a long time but she already has a boyfriend and isn't interested. What you should also realise is that I am much older than these guys and I can only say what I see and my judgement isn't necessarily a true picture of what they are really like. I hope i've helped you out a bit! I may be back out there within the next couple of weeks so maybe i'll have a bit more gossip for you by the end of this month! Who knows!

Oh yes i know two of them at the Hollywood bar. I went to Gumbet twice last year and in August this year. I know Jay Jay real name Memo Akdeniz very dangerous man. Cut a long story short last year he worked at the Millineum Bar i had gone back out to see him. Had an arguement with him and he ended up strangling me on the floor, never been so scared in all my life!!!! Thankfully Papa heard my screams and had to pull him off me. I now call him my hero!!!! otherwise i dont no if i would still be here as i could'nt breathe and had marks around my neck. He's one hell of an actor, beware ladies.... (What goes around comes around).

His brother Ilyias also known as Nic Cage or Stavos is married to an English girl who i have met. Again he does'nt act like a married man. Both out for what they can get.

Went back this year kept well away from them and have learnt by my mistakes, not having my hol ruined by that bastard.

Did meet some one last year and have lost all communication with him as i had my mobile stolen. If anyone knows him it would be great.

He worked at the Jasmine bar and restuarant Gumbet 08, his name is Ercan and lives in Ankara and is working for his dad this year. Wish i'd met him first!!!

They are a horrible lot aren't they??? Jay Jay does appear to be ok on the surface but i have seen him launch at a guy before and it wasn't pleasant! He's a letch and and you are right in saying "out for what he can get"... just ask him about Sheila!

As for his 'brother' he terrifies the life out of me! He's one of the creepiest men I have ever met in my life... he was a skinny creepy man until he stopped smoking... he's put the beef on now and I don't know what version is creepier!!!

The lads at Millenium are a nice bunch though, Adam, Gino and Luke, the 3 brothers ... i'm sure you know them too? I bet they're glad to be rid of Jay Jay!!

I hope you get back in touch with Ercan, I don't know who he is, although I may do by sight, do you have a pic?

After what he did to me he had the cheek to ask for £500 to send home to his parents. HA HA HA. Nothing like cheek? And that it's my loss over him. I do know everyone at Millenium and the three brothers, do you know they are related to Jay Jay? To be honest i would'nt trust any of them lot, i just have a gut feeling about them all.

Really cant believe all that about Jay Jay. He seemed so nice.
Although when we were there last year i was going with one of the fellas in Millenium, he made it very clear he liked me, but i wasnt interested. We were just friends. This year when we went 2 see him at Hollywood BAr he followed me 2 the toilets and stuck the lips on me!!! Buts thats nothing compared to your stories. When i started goin with one of the other fellas in Hollywood, he kept tellin them 2 leave me along cuz i was with him!!!!

And i totally know what u mean about that creepy brother of his, cant believe hes married to an english women, poor her.

Any way, while at Hollywood my friend and I totally fell head over heals for Marco and Alex.

Spent every night at Hollywood and went out partying with them once they finished work. Marco, the guy i was with was alot quieter then Alex. We thought they were "different". (dont we all).

So the holiday romance was great, all swapped numbers and emails and kept in touch. When i arrived home my sister told me i was mad, but i was so sure things would work out.

Until one day, Alex, the guy my friend was with posted somethin on his facebook page about how much he loved sarah, next minute there was 80 comments, from various different girls.

Alex was caught red handed shaggin all round him the day after we left. I ended things with Marco once i read all this, i came to my sences and thought what am i doing, ofcoarse Marco will just be like Alex, to this day i still dont really know. we then later found out that he has been torturing another girl to have sex with him during the day, while we were still there.

The worst about it all is, my friend has forgiven Alex and is travelling to Istanbul to meet him.
I keep sayin friend, but we actually are no longer friends, We had a fall out over somethin else so now she wont listen to anything i try 2 tell her. Shes mad, she doesnt even know what age he is, he keeps lieing and saying if she loved him it doesnt matter what age he is!!!

Oh and almost forgot, on the day we were leaving i lifted his phone and flicked through his messages and read message to and from other girls tellin eachother how much they loved eachother. I did tell my friend, like i thought any good freind should. She asked me to speak to him about it, and when i did, he said he doesnt love them like he does other girls. BULLSHIT
But she forgave him.. why i dont know.
He came to breakfast with us a few mornings, and made sarah pay, when we didnt leave enough of a tip, he pulled out a bundle of cash and threw down 10 lira.

What will i do? Does no1 know Alex? I need to catch him out again... for her sake, before its too late.

So you've been another victim of Jay Jay's 'follow the girl to the toilet routine'! He does it to evey female who ventures into Hollywood! If you go back next season just sit near the back of Central outside and watch! You'll see for yourself, honestly, he's a proper letchypants! ha ha!!

I was there last week of season, my third and final trip of this year and I spoke to Alex quite a bit, he's more friendly with the girl that comes away with me but she's much younger than me so they have more in common I suppose. He does have a girlfriend and from what I remember there was some bother this year, something about him booking a hotel and his girlfriend not turning up? Oh I don't know, I don't really listen to that type of gossip. He always seemed ok to me, sort of sensible if you know what I mean and I will put my hand on my heart and say that I didn't see him with any girls at any time but he does like a flirt, like everyone does I suppose, especially in a place like that surrounded by girls girls girls!! and at his age it's normal! He's not as full on as most guys out there but as I say i'm not in his age group so I probably miss alot of stuff which other younger girls would interpret differently! Oh, and he wasn't actually working in Hollywood last few weeks of season, he's moved on to Bar 20 at the top of bar st.

I don't know Marco, i've only spoken a few words to him, so I can't pass comment there, i can't even remember what he looks like to be honest!

The rest of the older lot in Hollywood are what I can only describe as dangerous. Everyone around the resort know of them and they haven't got a good reputation.

Although I still say hi to Jay Jay and his mincy uncle/brother/cousin whatever he is, I haven't got any time for them and I refuse to go into Hollywood (incase I need a wee more than anything) ha ha!

Gumbet is a funny old place with some odd characters and once you lose grip of those rose tinted specs, you start seeing the place and the people for what they really are! Most of it not pleasant.... saying that, I still go back year after year and i do have nice friends who I trust and that have been loyal over the past 10 years and have never asked me for a thing.

Until next year and the fun starts again i'll just have to cope with this rubbish winter weather and get meself a lightbox or something to rid the winter blues!

Hi everyone..

I was in Gumbet in May and Jay Jay took a shine to my friend....This one night i left her to go and meet my boyfriend from cetral and the next day i returnd to find out that they had gone to the beach and thay had a little kiss....so the next couple of nights we went in and he had changed totlly with her being very nasty and very aggersive with her.....that same night i told her i was not leaving her ith him.(bearin in mind she is her own women) she told me she would be fine...so relucatanly i left her.....the next day i had returned to find that they had slept together which i was totally shocked coz of the way he went on with her....so the next night we went in and he was really off with her and he was sitting inside with a blonde kissing her and me and my friend walked out and my friend has never been in since.

then we went back in Septemeber and my sisters friend came with us he was all over her and she went to the toilet and he followered her and he wouldnt let her go til i went and ot her....he is and horrible man and i dont like him....Alex is a lovely lad...i love him 2 bits and although he can be a flirt i have never seen him with any other girls over the season..i heard about all the trouble he was having.

In Octoer my and my 2 friends went back for the last week of the season and me and my boyfriend were sitting outside f central wathing down and jay jay was all over an irish woman and she got up to go to the toilet and i said to my boyfriend watch i bet he follows her to the toilet and sure enough two minutes later he followed he to the toilet..my boyfriend was soooo shocked on what he was doing...i urgue you all to stay away from him....i am soooo sorry to hear about what he did to you.

I agree gumbet is a strange place sometimes,!!!!!Lisa my ex also worked in central bar,spent lot of time in there..If i go back next year will look over at hollywood bar to see what is going on.!!
