Hi folks Im travelling to Bitez at the end of May with my wife and two friends. Is it too expensive to book private transfer from Bodrum airport to Bitez? It would be great to head straight from the airport instead of the usual waiting for people to find the holiday coach. Any help appreciated. Regards Gerry rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif

Hi Gerry,

You will usually find that taxis are quite expensive, even if booked from the UK. You can get coach transfers for as little as around £14 return per person whilst a taxi might cost in the region of £50-£80 one way. I have booked coach transfers in the past to Gumbet which is next to Bitez and they have always been little feeder coaches which only have about 20 seats and alot of the time we have been the only ones on it! You could wait until you get there a haggle a price with a taxi driver prior to getting in but I personally wouldn't risk it!

Check out sites like a2b transfers, holiday taxis, and resorthoppa... you'll be surprised at the cheap prices smile.gif

for example - I've just had a look on resorthoppa for you and found these return prices -

Minibus - £13.71 per person
Taxi - £95.79 total
Minibus £172.01 total

If there are 4 of you, it may actually be worth booking a taxi but I would only book it one way because you'll definitely get a cheaper return price in resort if you agree on a price with the driver prior to setting off! I got a taxi from Gumbet to Bodrum airport in October and it only cost us 50 Lira (£20 ish)!

Good luck and have agreat holiday whatever you decide to do!

Kx

Hi, I can highly recommend a private transfer - so much better and would only take about 45 minutes to Bitez. We live part of the year in Gumbet and always use www.propercar.com for our hire car and previously we used them for transfers as well. They're reasonable and reliable and respond to emails promptly.

JAK xx
